Hub International Limited has acquired the shares of Kindersley Insurance in Saskatchewan.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Based in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Kindersley Insurance also has an office in Dodsland. The full-service independent personal and commercial insurance brokerage specializes in insurance solutions for the agriculture, oil field and trucking industries.
A release said that Kindersley Insurance principals Mark Stockford and Barry Andrew will join Hub Manitoba as part of the deal. They will report to Hub Saskatchewan region vice-president Doug Trapp.
Last November, Hub Ontario executive chairman Greg Belton revealed in an interview with Insurance Business Canada that the company has a “tremendous pipeline of potential acquisitions” planned for the foreseeable future. Belton explained that Hub has a track record of acquiring and integrating businesses while retaining the people who have maintained those businesses.
“We want partners who are keen to grow for their clients and for their employees – and be part of something bigger. We’re not looking for the person who’s just looking to cash out,” Belton said.
