Hub International has acquired the assets of Kuokoa in Edmonton, Alberta, continuing a buying spree it started earlier this month.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
A release said that Kuokoa Enterprises specializes in commercial lines insurance solutions. Owner Dave Douglas will join Hub Barton as part of the transaction.
This is Hub’s third Canadian acquisition this month alone. The global insurance broker has already snapped up the independent brokerage Tri-Line Agencies in Saskatchewan, which specializes in government automobile and farming coverage. Just days before that, Hub swooped in for Toronto-based Proteus Performance Management, which provides specialized pension-plan governance and investment consulting.
