Hub International has acquired the businesses Clearpoint Advisory Group, Clearpoint Retirement Solutions, and Canwest Group Benefits.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Clearpoint – a benefits and retirement consulting firm – is based in Alberta, Canada, with additional locations in Grande Prairie and Fairview. The company provides strategic group benefit advisory services and retirement solutions to employers.
As part of the deal, Clearpoint principals Darren Smith, Sid Swick and Jim Yih will join Hub Canada West. They will report to Hub Canada West employee benefits president Kevin Rome.

In June, Hub had acquired another Alberta-based employee benefits firm – 838517 Alberta, o/a HB Consultants. Based in Calgary, HB Consultants is an independent employee benefits consulting firm specializing in group insurance programs, benefits communications, wellness solutions and risk management services.
