Hub International (HUB) has appointed Jean-François Beaulieu as president of HUB Quebec. He assumes the role in January 2024 from outgoing president Stephen Blais, who will remain chief executive officer.
As HUB Quebec’s president, Beaulieu will collaborate with the local Executive Management Team to drive initiatives aimed at expanding the business both through organic growth and M&A activity, an emailed news release from the global brokerage said.
He will also focus on talent acquisition, development, and retention, as well as enhancing organizational efficiency, according to HUB.
“Jean-François’ knowledge of HUB and property & casualty insurance, combined with his results-driven personality and sales expertise, has led him to be a very successful Chief Sales Officer for nearly 10 years,” said HUB Canada president Tina Osen.
“He demonstrates great leadership and has had an incredible impact on our business by recruiting top talent to the organization, supporting our M&A activities, and ensuring that we deliver best-in-class service to clients in Quebec and across Canada.”
Beaulieu initially joined HUB in 2004. His primary areas of expertise lie in the real estate and hospitality sectors, where he has handled a diverse range of complex risks and international placements.
He previously served as chief sales officer, driving organic growth and client retention in the Quebec region. He also led the Large Commercial Department and helped grow the practice.
Before his time at HUB, Beaulieu was at Marsh as an account manager and later at Willis as assistant vice president and account executive. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce, information technology and marketing from HEC Montreal.
Beaulieu’s appointment comes after HUB announced its acquisition of D’Onofrio Insurance, which is based in Laval, Quebec.
