One of the giants of the insurance brokerage world has today announced the appointment of a new President – along with several other key new appointees.
Taking the role of president of Hub International Ltd is Marc Cohen, currently the regional president of Hub East region. Meanwhile, of particular note to Canadian readers is that Lawrence Lineker, the president of Hub Canada, will now move into the position of executive vice-president of Hub International. Finally, rounding out the major moves, Richard Gulliver, the existing president of Hub International, will step into the role of vice-chairman of the company.
All of the new positions will become effective as of January 01, 2017 with chairman of the board of directors Martin Hughes outlining that they should help support the company’s significant growth via mergers and acquisitions – just two weeks ago we told you about the company
acquiring Ontario-based brokerage Sarjeant Brokers.
“We have a tremendous depth of experience and talent within Hub, which made the decision to promote from within compelling,” stated Hughes. “It was a logical step in our business planning to put the right people in place to support our growth and to address the changing dynamics in the insurance industry.”
