Hub International (HUB) has appointed Liam Brown as the national healthcare and life sciences specialty practice leader in Canada.
In this role, Brown will be responsible for overseeing initiatives aimed at providing industry-leading solutions and services to clients in the healthcare and life sciences sectors.
He will also play a key role in expanding the practice within Canada by focusing on talent acquisition and identifying new avenues for growth.
“With his experience in the healthcare and life sciences industries, Liam truly understands the market and will be a valuable resource for our team, both domestically and with US-Canada cross-border opportunities,” said North American healthcare practice leader Peter Reilly. “Liam has a unique skill set to help take our healthcare specialty practice to the next level.”
Brown’s academic background is in health innovation, having earned an Honours BSc. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology from the University of Waterloo and a Canadian Risk Management Designation (CRM) from the University of Toronto.
In other HUB news, the global brokerage firm recently named Jean-François Beaulieu as president of its Quebec operations. He will be taking over the role in January 2024 from outgoing president Stephen Blais, who will remain HUB Quebec’s chief executive officer.
HUB has also acquired the assets of D’Onofrio Insurance, which provides both commercial and personal insurance from its Laval, Quebec location.
