Hub International Limited has acquired the shares of the Jasper, Alberta-based Carlton Insurance Brokers (CIB). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CIB provides personal and commercial insurance, specializing in solutions for the transportation industry. A company release noted that CIB’s transportation specialization works for Hub’s recent launch of its specialty practices.
As part of the transaction, the CIB team will join Hub Barton. CIB CEO Tony Carlton will report to Hub Barton vice-president of sales Doug Lyall and Hub Barton vice-president of operations Elizabeth Fiegehen.
CIB is the latest in a very long line of M&A deals for Hub. Last month, Hub acquired the Vancouver-based ES3 Insurance Services, operating as ES3 Advisory. ES3 Advisory is an employee benefits and pension consulting firm.
