HSB Canada – a multi-line specialty insurer and the risk management business arm of Munich Re – has maintained its Full Partner support for the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada’s (IBAC) national advertising campaign, the Broker Identity Program (BIP).
The BIP aims to raise consumer awareness of the value brokers provide for their insurance clients, particularly when it comes to choice, advice, and advocacy.
According to IBAC, HSB Canada’s support extends beyond the BIP, as the insurer will contribute to other IBAC initiatives such as the association’s technology leadership, the professional development of brokers, and its federal advocacy to maintain the separation of the banking and insurance industries.
“Brokers have been central to business operations since our company’s early days," said HSB Canada director of regional offices and insurance operations Tammy Parris. “With uncertain times
ahead, the broker’s role as conduit between the consumer and insurer will become more crucial, and we fully support IBAC’s advocacy efforts.”
“We greatly appreciate HSB’s continued investment in our Broker Identity Program and their commitment to the broker channel,” said IBAC CEO Peter Braid, who added that HSB Canada’s support “underscores the important role of insurance brokers in providing reliable, expert advice and serving their clients’ specialized insurance needs.”
Last week, Economical Insurance also renewed its support for IBAC’s BIP at the Full Partner level.
