Guy Carpenter & Company has announced the appointment of Tom Hettinger to helm its capital, structured risk, growth and rating agency advisory capabilities in both Canada and the US.
Hettinger will be based in Chicago and report to Global Strategic Advisory head Rob Bentley.

Hettinger was previously in charge of underwriting and developing capital management and predictive modeling solutions at Arch Reinsurance Company. Before joining Arch, he was a part of the Americas property and casualty sales and practice leader for Towers Watson, where he was administering enterprise risk management, pricing, reserving, and mergers and acquisition efforts.
He was also a founding partner of EMB America, which Towers Watson acquired in 2010. Hettinger worked with many of Guy Carpenter’s global clients in EMB, where he was concerned with the development of capital management solutions and predictive analytics strategy.
Hettinger is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst, and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
