Storm Insurance Group is Insurance Business Canada’s highest ranked insurance brokerage for the year 2020.
The firm topped IBC’s National Top 10 Brokerages Report, which was determined by reviewing brokerage performance, innovation, growth, and customers served over the past year. This year also marks Storm Insurance Group’s second straight year of making it to the list.

According to a release from Storm Insurance, the recognition comes after significant expansion for the company. Last year, the brokerage nearly tripled in size after it acquired three other brokerages – Wardell Insurance, Sheppard Insurance and Axxium Assurance – with a focus on digital automation and organic growth.
“It is an honor to be recognized with this award, especially after the exciting 2019 we’ve had. We’re now planning our 40-year milestone,” said Storm Insurance CEO Jamie Reid.
Reid added that the award belongs to all of Storm Insurance’s employees across Canada, in recognition of their hard work, commitment to clients, and overall success. The CEO also revealed in a statement that Storm Insurance’s future remains bright, with a strategic plan to further triple the size of the business over the next five years.
