Non-profit benefits carrier Green Shield Canada (GSC), together with its health benefit management solutions division HBM+, has launched a new tool that can provide users with insights into their benefits plans, claims trends, cost drivers, and even disease data.
The new DATAleap offering was created for plan sponsors, advisors and third party payors, who need data-driven insights in order to improve their plan performance, a release said. The system does more than just reporting, by delivering interactive data visualizations. The visualization allows users to identify themes and patterns, leading to actionable insights.
DATAleap also offers plan benchmarking and demographic analyses, allowing users to have a much sharper view of their plan performance.
The system is composed of three packages: plan insights, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics. Each is configurable to meet the specific needs of clients. A release also noted that DATAleap also offers analytics services as a standalone product.
“DATAleap is another huge step forward in the quest for more informed plan management,” said GSC vice-president of planning and business solutions Cathy Morrison. “Users can explore data in ways that are fast, efficient and convenient. Whether you’re trying to figure out what happened, why it happened, or what is going to happen, DATAleap guides you through the analytics journey.”
