Applied Systems announced this week an updated and expanded version of Applied PerformanceManagement in Canada and the U.S., a software program that aims to give agencies “data-driven business insights for analysis and tracking.”
Designed specifically for independent agencies and brokerages, Applied PerformanceManagement 2014 R2 was built based on feedback regarding the original product from agency owners.
The program itself accesses information from a group’s agency management system and allows executives to manipulate and work with the data to learn more about their client base, their carrier partners and their own employees.
Specific updates to Applied PerformanceManagement 2014 R2 include:
• Business performance scorecard, which provides a consolidated snapshot of the business and allows agencies and brokerages to analyze business and employee performance KPIs for the past year and measure performance against future target goals, providing context of historical business trends and success rates and the ability track progress toward projected goals.
• User-defined dashboards, an upgraded summary, trend, geography and policy marketing dashboards with expanded filters allow users to analyze and drill down into hundreds of user-driven combinations of KPI’s in a single dashboard, enabling agencies and brokerages to make more informed decisions when defining steps to improve operational performance and client retention and growth.
Commenting on the new release, Michael Howe, senior vice president of product management, said that “data continues to accumulate at an exponential rate, providing independent agencies and brokerages an unprecedented opportunity to evaluate and analyze information related to internal business operations and external engagement with clients and insurers to make better-informed business decisions.
“Applied PerformanceManagement 2014 R2 allows executives to manipulate data to produce visual graphs that clearly identify business opportunities to improve staff productivity,” he added, “increase proactive client outreach, and develop more viable insurer relationships - all of which will drive stronger performance in the business.”
Applied Systems hopes the product will allow for more productive conversations with an agency’s carrier partners, and “level the playing field” in insurer-agency meetings.
