Drayden Insurance, a McDougall Insurance Brokers subsidiary, has acquired Norwest Insurance Agencies as part of its ongoing expansion in Alberta.
Recent acquisitions in the province include CJ Campbell Insurance in Calgary, De Luca Insurance Services in Edmonton, and Darson Insurance Services in Stony Plain. The latest swoop, financial terms of which were not disclosed, is in Edmonton.
According to Catherine Cake, president of Drayden Insurance, the two firms are an ideal match.
“Norwest and Drayden are a perfect fit,” she said. “We both emphasize industry-leading standards in service; we both rely on a local, personal touch; and we both have an incredible, loyal clientele.”
Meanwhile Drayden Insurance has offered assurances that a smooth integration process will be carried out.
Commenting on the expansion, McDougall Insurance chief executive Ross McDougall pointed to the shared values that drive both companies.
