The Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) Society has announced the recipients of its 2024 National Leadership Awards, recognizing two professionals for their contributions to the insurance industry and their communities.

Emily Gray, CIP, claims manager at Peace Hills Insurance, has been honored in the Emerging Leader category. Rohit Trivedi, executive general adjuster – liability at Allianz Commercial, has been named in the Established Leader category.

Since its establishment in 2008, the National Leadership Awards program has celebrated the achievements of CIP Society members who demonstrate exemplary leadership, inspire peers, and contribute meaningfully to the profession. The recipients were lauded by Renée-Léa Soucy, chair of the CIP Society National Council, for their commitment to their workplaces, the insurance industry, and local communities.

“These members have demonstrated an enduring commitment to their workplaces, the insurance profession and their local communities,” Soucy said. “We are honored to have them as part of our membership, and will look forward to the opportunity to celebrate their successes with the industry.”

According to a news release, awardees will receive a custom-designed sculpture and be inducted into the CIP Society Leadership Circle during upcoming convocation ceremonies.

Peter Hohman, president and CEO of the Insurance Institute of Canada, highlighted the awards program’s legacy. “We are pleased to welcome two new highly regarded leaders and mentors into the Leadership Circle,” Hohman said.

“Since introducing this awards program, we have had the opportunity to highlight the achievements of 46 individuals across Canada – strong leaders who make outstanding contributions in all aspects of their lives and help raise the integrity of our profession.”

The CIP Society is the professional division of the Insurance Institute of Canada, representing over 18,000 graduates of the CIP and Fellowship (FCIP) programs. Established in 1998, it is dedicated to advancing education, experience, and ethics within the insurance profession.
