Chubb Canada has appointed Colin Laird as regional manager of its accident & health division.
Laird will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies related to profitable growth of the accident & heath business, a company release said. He will be based in Toronto, and will report to Chubb Canada president John Alfieri and Chubb COO of North American accident & health division Suresh Krishnan.
He has over 17 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to this promotion, Laird served as senior vice president, underwriting center manager and executive field underwriting manager with Chubb. He joined the company in 2003 as a commercial underwriter and has since held a number of leadership roles with increasing responsibilities.
Laird holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, ON.
