Managing general agent (MGA) CHES Special Risk has put out a recruitment call for commercial underwriters, as it aims to develop its presence in western Canada.
“We at CHES are a highly collaborative team of smart professionals. Together, we aspire to build a company where people are valued for who they are and what they contribute. Our goal is for everyone to feel supported & challenged and be proud to be part of CHES Special Risk,” the company said in a release.
The MGA’s recruitment call comes after CHES Special Risk opened a new office in Vancouver in November. Spencer Denton was tapped to serve as branch manager of the new location.
In a release, CHES Special Risk listed the benefits it offers to its underwriters, which include flexible works hours; maternity and paternity top ups; covered dental, orthodontics, and eyewear benefits; annual fitness subsidy; and life & disability insurance. The MGA has also promised its underwriters an internal mentoring program and payment for any continued education they may take, on top of internal promotion opportunities.
