CHES Financial Services has opened a second office in Ottawa, allowing the company to expand its services to clients in the city and surrounding regions.
The Ontario-based company, which launched just last month, is a subsidiary of CHES Special Risk. CHES Financial Services specializes in life, health, critical illness, and travel insurance. The subsidiary also offers employee benefits solutions.
A release noted that Ottawa – apart from being the nation’s capital – is also “a key city for Canada’s economy and is home to head offices of significant companies.” CHES Financial Services’ new office in the city presents an opportunity for the company to broaden its reach and offer it products to more major industries.
“Buying a proper life, health, and critical illness insurance policy or group benefits can’t be blindly done online without advice,” said CHES Financial Services president and CEO Gary Hirst. “That is why we believe it is so important to have offices with licensed advisors in the areas we operate.”
A company release added that senior adviser Steven Burke has been appointed to lead the new Ottawa office.
“The opportunity that CHES Financial Services presents in Ottawa is something I look forward to being part of as it is very unique and exciting,” commented Burke.
Hirst expressed in a statement that the company is “delighted” to attract someone with Burke’s talents to lead the new office, adding that the company is looking to expand even further in the region.
“This is only the beginning of CHES establishing a leading life and group benefits advisory in the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario region,” the chief executive remarked.
