Manulife Quebec president and CEO Richard Payette was among those named as one of the Top Five Personal Insurers and Top 25 in Quebec by Finance et Investissement.
For this year, Finance et Investissement also named Jean-François Chalifoux of SSQ Assurance, Yvon Charest of iA Financial Group, and Stéphane Rochon of Humania Assurance as finalists in the personal insurance category.
“This is a great honour and one that recognizes Manuvie’s growing position in Quebec,” Payette commented in a statement. “Manuvie (Manulife Quebec) is well-positioned to become the Quebec financial services leader for health and wealth I look forward to working with our talented team to make this goal a reality.”
A company release also noted that Payette was recently appointed to the Montreal Clinical Research Institute Board of Directors (IRCM).
IRCM chairman Pierre Duplessis and president and scientific director Tarik Möröy have extended their congratulations to Payette, saying that the CEO’s “many successes are an invaluable asset.” The two also spoke highly of Payette’s expertise, saying that it “will have a definite impact on the numerous projects to be put forward in the months and years to come.”
