Airline company Canada Jetlines Operations has announced a partnership with travel insurer Allianz Global Assistance.
The partnership comes as Canada Jetlines unveiled its latest Airbus A320 aircraft and its plans to operate from Toronto Pearson International Airport. The airline hopes to appeal to travellers for summer 2022, particularly those headed for the US, the Caribbean, and Mexico.
“We’re honoured to be able to partner with global leaders in the travel protection space as we aim to provide passengers with the most convenient travel planning experience possible,” said Canada Jetlines CCO Duncan Bureau. “Partnering with Allianz Global Assistance will help Canada Jetlines’ guests to plan with confidence and ease, be it a weekend trip or the family vacation of their dreams.”
“We’re pleased to partner with an exciting new carrier and offer Canada Jetlines’ passengers added peace of mind before and during their holidays,” added AGA chief sales officer Lucy Hathaway. “We’re here to ensure travellers have easy access to the right protection and assistance – anywhere their adventures take them.”
In a release, Canada Jetlines announced that it is projected to have 15 aircraft by 2025.
In December, AGA entered into a similar partnership with regional air carrier Porter Airlines. Through the deal, Porter Airlines’ customers can purchase three types of travel insurance policies from AGA, and can also access the insurer’s emergency assistance, claims expertise, and inquiry support.
