Good things come in twos for Canadian brokerage BrokerLink, which made a series of acquisition announcements today that will grow its footprint in the marketplace.
The Guelph-based Amplex Insurance Brokers, which has been providing personal and commercial insurance services since 1980, and JDR Insurance – Athabasca, a division of Tailor Made Insurance Services, will now be part of one of the largest property and casualty insurance brokerage operations in Canada.
Both transactions were effective May 01, 2019, though terms were not disclosed.
“We have provided our customers with products of the highest quality and unmatched customer service for almost 40 years, and we know that BrokerLink will carry on this tradition,” said Amplex president Bob Briden, who will move to BrokerLink to lend a hand during the transition process. Meanwhile, Amplex’s Bijma Dass, a registered insurance advisor, will continue to service customers as part of the BrokerLink team.
On the other hand, Tailor Made president Colin Knott said, “We strongly believe that BrokerLink shares these same values and will continue to provide our Athabasca customers with the same outstanding service.”
“JDRA will be a great fit as their reputation for exceptional customer service matches BrokerLink’s mission and organizational goals,” added Joe D’Annunzio, president of BrokerLink.
Through the acquisition, JDRA employees will continue to provide service to customers as part of the BrokerLink team.
