BrokerLink, one of Canada’s largest property and casualty (P&C) insurance brokerages has today announced the acquisition of Atlantic Canada-based Archway Insurance and its subsidiaries Upstairs Finance and C.D. Anderson Insurance (collectively, Archway Insurance).
Archway Insurance is of the largest and fastest growing insurance brokerages in Atlantic Canada. Founded in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in 1985, Archway Insurance has grown from a single location to serving more than 30 communities across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, offering home, auto, recreational insurance solutions and more.

communities we serve,” said Gina McFetridge, president of Archway, who will join the BrokerLink senior management group alongside Archway CEO Michael Stack. Alongside the acquisition of Archway, BrokerLink has also purchased South Coast Insurance Agency, based in Newfoundland. South Coast Insurance has locations across the Atlantic province, offering its customers home, auto, commercial, marine and life insurance solutions since 1978. The employees of South Coast Insurance will also join the BrokerLink team.

Through the two transactions BrokerLink has doubled its size in Atlantic Canada, to become one of the largest insurance brokerages on the Canadian east coast, with over 65 locations and more than 400 employees.
In addition to its growth in Atlantic Canada, BrokerLink has also added two new locations in Ontario and Alberta, by acquiring Doug Honeyford Insurance Inc. (Honeyford Insurance) in Sudbury, Ontario, and Lakeside Insurance Ltd. in Sylvan Lake, Alberta.
