BrokerLink Inc. (BrokerLink), one of Canada’s largest property and casualty (P&C) insurance brokerages, has continued its acquisition spree with two new transactions in Alberta.
Effective April 1, 2022, the firm has welcomed Tailor Made Insurance Services Ltd. (Tailor Made Insurance) and Maple Insurance Inc. (Maple Insurance) into its fold.
Based in Northern Alberta, Tailor Made Insurance is an independent insurance broker offering personal and business insurance, as well as specialising in farm insurance products.
Tailor Made Insurance president Greg Knott said the brokerage – which sold its JDR Insurance – Athabasca division to BrokerLink in 2019 – decided to sell to BrokerLink again because “it goes above and beyond to help people.”
“When we chose to sell our Athabasca division to BrokerLink in 2019, I had a strong belief that our shared values and commitment to outstanding customer service would allow for a fluid transition for our employees and customers, and I was right,” Knott added. “I trust they are a great fit for our Gibbons, St. Albert, and Sherwood Park locations, too.”
Meanwhile, Maple Insurance, based in Southern Alberta, offers a wide range of personal and commercial insurance products and services.
Commenting on the acquisition, Maple Insurance president Abdul Tarchichi said: “BrokerLink's reputation in these areas gives me great confidence that our customers will receive the service they've depended on, and our employees will be able to grow their careers with the resources of a larger organization.”
As part of the deal, which is expected to enable BrokerLink to serve more customers on both in Southern and Northern Alberta, Tailor Made Insurance and Maple Insurance will continue to serve their communities and customers as part of the BrokerLink team.

The double swoop in Alberta follows BrokerLink's triple acquisition of Blue Circle Insurance Brokers, Stevenson Insurance Brokers, and McVey Bros. Insurance Brokers in November 2021.
