Ding, ding, round two.
It may have been a very friendly fight, but the competition was still fierce for the second day of the Insurance Business Canada Awards as the biggest names in the industry gathered to celebrate the achievements of their peers across illustrious categories that included crowning the broker, big brokerage, underwriter and insurer of the year.
There was no need to don any gloves of course, as instead it was virtual handshakes all around as the sector showed the unity that makes its so special with all nominees gathering for a series of virtual panels throughout the day to examine the key issues and challenges facing the industry, and to give each other a welcome piece of coaching advice.
Still, when the awards presentation rolled around the standard of competition in each category made this look very much like a heavyweight battle with all of the nominees showing title-worthy credentials. Still only one could triumph in each category – so here’s who came out on top on day two:
Best Service Provider – Claims
Charles Taylor
Best Service Provider – Insurtech
ProNavigator
Big Brokerage of the Year

The Advocis Award for Life & Health Insurer of the Year
