Billyard Insurance Group (BIG) has appointed Daniel Ignoto (pictured centre) as its new chief insurance officer (CIO).
Following a period of growth in recent years, BIG said it is focusing on technological innovation and digital transformation following a period of “unprecedented” growth in recent years. As CIO, Ignoto will align BIG’s personal lines, commercial lines, and life & financial divisions with this strategic direction. His appointment marks a “significant milestone,” according to the company.

Daniel’s contributions will be invaluable as we continue to expand our services and drive change across the industry.”

Before joining BIG, Ignoto served as the senior vice president of Hagerty’s Insurance Partners Group, spearheading growth and business strategy and managing its Canadian operations. Before his stint at Hagerty, Ignoto spent 17 years at Aviva Canada, most notably as vice president of specialty personal insurance – group, lifestyle, and high net worth.
