Billyard Insurance Group (BIG) takes another step towards its goal of national expansion with the establishment of its first new office in Edmonton, AB.
Managed by the husband-and-wife team Haseeb and Eilaf Rehman, the BIG Edmonton South branch will provide auto, home, business, pet, travel, and life insurance products and services.
“Through BIG, we have access to many insurance carriers, which gives us more flexible options for our clients,” commented Haseeb Rehman.
According to a release, the two bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their new venture. As managing partner, Haseeb Rehman will help manage his team and share his own career experience through training and development.
BIG has also stated that the BIG Edmonton South team aims to build lasting relationships with clients and the local community.
“Our focus in the community is building relationships so that people trust us not just professionally, but personally. We view clients as family and provide that personal touch to customer service,” said Eilaf Rehman.
Commenting on the move, BIG president Stephen Billyard said: “First of all, we loved the fact that Haseeb and Eilaf are a husband-and-wife team. With BIG having been originally founded as a husband-and-wife, family business, this carries significance for us to see the continuation of that in Alberta.”
BIG’s national expansion plans were first made known in May earlier this year, with Alberta being the company’s first foray into the Western Canada region. It has dedicated “considerable” resources to building technology and infrastructure to support its growth across Canada – with the goal of having an establishment in all key provinces, the company said in a statement.
