Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has added Andrew Adams to its global surety team, filling in the position of head of surety in Canada.
Adams, who will be based in Toronto, will help establish and expand BHSI’s contract and commercial surety relationships throughout the country, a release said.
He has over 25 years of experience in surety underwriting, first starting his career with Guardian Insurance Company of Canada and then Zurich Canada. He most recently served as vice-president of surety in Canada for AIG. Adams received his bachelor’s degree in economics from York University in Toronto.
“With extensive experience in the local surety market, Andrew will lead our efforts to provide sustainable surety solutions with responsive service to customers across Canada, said BHSI senior vice-president of surety Courtney Walker. “We are pleased to welcome him to BHSI’s growing surety team.”
