AXA XL has appointed Judy Faber to the role of vice-president, business operations and customer management in Canada, effective June 16, 2020.
Faber will oversee AXA XL’s Canadian insurance operations, as well as strengthen the company’s management strategy in the region, as part of her new dual role. With her appointment, Faber also joins AXA XL’s Canadian leadership team, and will report to AXA XL Canada CEO & country manager Urs Uhlmann.
“Judy’s knowledge of the Canadian large risk markets coupled with her background in claims, underwriting and customer management in the risk management space will further strengthen the ability for AXA XL, Canada to deliver quality service to our customers and improve operational efficiencies,” commented Uhlmann.
Faber joins AXA XL from Zurich Canada, where she held roles related to customer and client management – most recently as head of customer management. Before Zurich, she spent almost 20 years in loss adjustment and underwriting. Faber is a member of the Insurance Institute of Canada, Ontario Independent Adjusters Association, Toastmasters of Toronto, and the Insurance Bureau of Canada.
She is also the chair for speaker series at the Women’s Innovative Network. Faber holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Insurance Professional.
