AXA XL Canada has expanded its fine art and specie team with the addition of Caitlin McCullough and Sarah Mitchell, who are assuming the roles of senior underwriter and underwriter, respectively.
McCullough joins the firm with nearly two decades of combined experience in the fine art and insurance industries. Her most recent role was at a major brokerage, where she specialized in the private client division. She also spent time at a fine art insurer in Canada and New York.
Mitchell assumes her new role with 14 years of experience from her tenure at Willis in the UK, where she managed the fine art and specie claims portfolio.
Within AXA XL Canada, McCullough will spearhead the growth strategy of the fine art and specie product offering. This includes underwriting business, supporting business planning and forecasting, and cultivating and sustaining relationships with brokers and clients nationwide.
Meanwhile, Mitchell will leverage her previous experience to support the fine art and specie portfolio at AXA XL Canada.
“We are thrilled to welcome Caitlin and Sarah to AXA XL Canada,” said Alex Barker, head of specialty. “Their extensive experience and proven track record in the fine art and insurance industries make them invaluable additions to our expert specialty insurance team.”
Last August, AXA XL named a new country manager in Canada, appointing Glen Hopkinson.
