Aviva Canada’s C-suite is welcoming three new leaders after a tough year hit the company’s bottom line hard and resulted in a shakeup of its executive line-up.
Bryant Vernon (pictured) is coming on as chief claims officer, Nicole Brouillard will be the new chief information officer, and Michel Dionne is now the company’s chief risk officer.
“I’m excited to have three stellar leaders join my executive team,” said Colm Holmes, president and CEO of Aviva Canada, who was part of Aviva’s executive shake-up in January when he replaced Greg Somerville in the leadership role. “Bryant, Nicole and Michel bring a tremendous amount of industry expertise and experience to these important roles.”
The new hires have a wealth of experience in the insurance industry between them, which they developed at companies like Liberty Mutual, Chubb, and Intact Financial, among others. Before joining Aviva in May, Vernon was the global head of data science and services at Solera, helping to improve carriers’ profitability. Meanwhile, Brouillard was most recently the CTO at Travelers Canada and has 20 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies across the world. Finally, Dionne was at Intact for 27 years prior to the Aviva role, which he begins in August, and has a breadth of knowledge in the actuarial world.
