A Hamilton auto repair business owner is currently facing fraud charges after an investigation allegedly found fraudulent insurance and vehicle safety certificates associated with the establishment.

Police purported that fraudulent documents such as insurance and vehicle safety certificates were being issued from T & R Auto Service. The Insurance Bureau of Canada and the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council helped police with the investigation.

On June 08, a warrant was executed at the auto shop business, located at 22 Barton St. E.

Owner Naseem Jamil, 55, is charged with three counts of fraud under $5,000, selling forged documents, possession of proceeds of crime and driving while disqualified.

The Hamilton Spectator reported that Jamil was released on a promise to appear in court on a later date.
