Arch Insurance North America has appointed Rebecca Raisley (pictured) as vice president of distribution for its accident & health (A&H) business unit.
Raisley has over two decades of experience in the A&H industry. Prior to joining Arch, she was head of retail distribution for A&H at AIG, responsible for leading the national sales team and overseeing corporate and specialty A&H products. She also spent 12 years at Transamerica and helped expand the company’s accident book of business through direct-to-consumer and affinity partnerships.
In her new role with Arch, Raisley will play a key role in driving the growth of new and existing distribution partnerships in the employer, special risk, and affinity/consumer solutions markets. She will also support A&H’s expansion of specialty solutions across these segments.
Raisley will be reporting to Jim Villa, senior vice president of strategy and distribution.
“Rebecca’s experience and knowledge of A&H products and the brokers who sell them make her a great addition to our team,” said Villa. “Rebecca’s hiring reinforces Arch’s commitment to building its A&H footprint and in delivering collaborative and informed solutions for our clients.”
“There are many exciting things happening at Arch, and I look forward to being a part of it,” added Raisley.
In December, Arch Insurance North America announced the promotion of Brian First as president, giving him with executive oversight over the region’s business units and certain operations teams. First has been with Arch since 2014 and boasts 30 years of industry experience.
“Brian First has been instrumental to our success over the past several years, and we’re all very excited to have him take on these expanded responsibilities,” Matt Shulman, CEO of Arch Insurance North America, said of the appointment. “In addition to being an incredibly insightful underwriter, Brian is a well-rounded and respected leader who will help steer our organization as we pursue our ambitious goals.”
