Apollo Insurance has announced the appointment of Justin Hamade (pictured) as its new chief technology officer.
With over two decades of experience in technology leadership, Hamade will join Apollo’s development team in the firm’s Vancouver office. He brings with him experience in technology architecture, integrations, DevOps, chatbots, Internet-of-Things (IoT), and backend and frontend infrastructure.
Hamade was most recently director of engineering at Rival Technologies, where he oversaw the development of a market research platform.
“Justin has been an instrumental advisor to Apollo since our inception, and his leadership and guidance now that he is on the team will ensure Apollo’s success as we continue to tackle larger and more complex technology objectives,” said Jeff McCann, chief executive officer of Apollo Insurance. “He has led large scale development teams from product inception to execution, and his experience will launch Apollo into orbit.”
“The potential for technology to address many of the friction points in the insurance industry is nearly untapped,” said Hamade. “I am excited to take Apollo to bold new frontiers.”
Apollo Insurance is Canada’s largest online insurance marketplace and its Exchange platform is widely used by brokers to quote, bind, and issue policy documents for small businesses.
