There has been some significant movement in the Manitoba insurance market today as Andrew Agencies revealed it had completed a deal for Waggoner Insurance.
The move, which was finalized yesterday, sees three Waggoner Insurance locations rebranded as Andrew Agencies as the latter moves into Winnipeg for the first time. In total, Andrew Agencies now boasts 19 locations across a network that incorporates Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
According to Scott Andrew, the president and CEO of Andrew Agencies Ltd, current Waggoner staff will remain and be joined by product specialists from his firm.

“Andrew Agencies is excited to be entering the Winnipeg marketplace especially with having the opportunity to acquire an established well run brokerage like Waggoner,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ed Waggoner, the president and CEO of Waggoner Insurance, which had been independently owned since 1995, insisted the move “was best for our staff and our loyal clients.”
