Canada Soccer and Allstate Canada announced Tuesday the finalization of a partnership to make Allstate Canada the official Home and Auto Insurance partner of Canada Soccer.
"This partnership is an ideal way for Allstate Canada to show our continued commitment to the communities where we live and work, by helping to provide opportunities for families to engage with the game of soccer at every level," said Marcelo Regen, Vice President Allstate Brand. "It is a great way to help integrate our local agents and Canada Soccer into the fabric of our communities by creating events that will allow everyone to support local players in their neighbourhoods and players representing our country on national teams when they take the field."
Canada Soccer and Allstate Canada are to introduce the Allstate Good Hands Award, which will recognize the top save of the year by the Canadian Men's and Women's National Team goalkeepers and the top save of the Amway Canadian Championship, as voted on by fans.
The partnership will also see Allstate Canada support Canada's National Teams, the Amway Canadian Championship, and Ombrelle Active Start Soccer Fests.
"We're very proud to welcome Allstate Canada to the Canada Soccer family," said Peter Montopoli, Canada Soccer General Secretary. "The support of our corporate partners is vital to our efforts to provide leadership for the soccer community and achieve our collective objectives from the playground to the podium. The enthusiasm demonstrated by Allstate Canada has us excited about the potential of this partnership and its ability to contribute positively to the Canadian soccer community. We look forward to collaborating on a number of initiatives."
