An insurer has announced earlier this month that it has renewed its collaboration with the nation’s governing body for all things soccer.
Having partnered with Canada Soccer the previous year to great success,

“It was important to find a partner that allowed us to continue our long history of giving back to the communities we serve and supporting tomorrow’s leaders; it’s evident we found that in Canada Soccer,” said Allstate Insurance Company of Canada vice-president of Allstate Brand Marcelo Regen. “We are so proud of all we’ve been able to accomplish both at a national and regional level; from cheering on the Canadian Women’s National Team on their journey to Rio, to investing in rising soccer stars in the communities where we do business.”
In 2016, Allstate Canada and Canada Soccer hosted more than 50 events in various communities nationwide. In total, over 50,000 children had participated in the activities. In one event that spanned the areas of Halifax and Calgary, nearly 1,000 young athletes got the opportunity to play and learn with the Canada’s Women’s National Soccer Team.

The two organizations had also hosted other events last year, such as “soccer fests” intended to get young kids into the sport, soccer clinics to develop talent, coach appreciation events, meet-and-greet soccer celebrity programs, and a digital school contest.
“2016 was a phenomenal year to be a Canada Soccer partner and fan and across the country our agents had the pleasure of attending each of these events, speaking to young athletes, students and parents alike about the importance of community and leadership skills,” Regen added. “Needless to say, if last year was any indication of what we have to look forward to, we anticipate great things for 2017.”
