The insurer has brought in Dogan Kaleli to serve as head of programs business practice and Dan Larkin as northeast zone midcorp program director. Both appointments are effective immediately.
“The programs business has been growing at a rapid rate, and our commitment to serving our clients in this area is stronger than ever,” said AGCS global head of midcorp & North America regional head of corporate short tail lines Vinko Markinova.
“We have always said we plan to double our programs business in the next five years and with the exceptional market expertise of Dogan and Dan, we will be able to provide our clients with industry leading speed to market and the high level of customer service they’ve come to expect from Allianz,” Markinova added.
Both Kaleli and Larkin will be based in New York, the former reporting directly to Markovina and the latter reporting to AGCS head of midcorp division in the northeast zone Todd Hendershot.
Kaleli joined AGCS as the head of risk management in 2013. Before joining the unit, he was the head of underwriting for property midcorp, aviation, and international programs at Allianz Seguros in Brazil. Kaleli also held the roles of head of risk management and risk specialist in Brazil. He began his insurance career at Allianz Sigorta in Turkey, initially as a property underwriter.
Larkin was most recently a senior vice-president, head of programs with PartnerRe, where he spent 18 years. He was also a senior property underwriter for AXA Reinsurance. Larkin began his career at Metropolitan Reinsurance as a treaty accountant
