Allianz and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have extended their Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partnership (TOP Partnership) for another four years, covering the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games French Alps 2030 and the Olympic and Paralympic Games Brisbane 2032.
The renewal continues Allianz’s role as the Official Worldwide Insurance Partner, which sees the global insurer providing risk management, protection for organisers, participants and spectators, and support for athletes through mentoring and career development.
The partnership also places Allianz in key markets, with France and Australia collectively contributing more than 10% of its operating profit in 2024. Since 2021, Allianz has supported the Olympic Movement, including the Paris 2024, Milano Cortina 2026, and LA 2028 Games.
The insurer has also worked with the International Paralympic Committee since 2006, becoming a Worldwide Paralympic Partner in 2021.
During the Paris 2024 Games, Allianz played a role in multiple aspects, including insurance coverage and athlete support. It provided medical assistance for 155,000 individuals, ticket cancellation insurance for spectators, and property and liability coverage for various venues.
Allianz CEO Oliver Bäte (pictured) said the partnership had delivered positive business results and strengthened the Allianz brand, leading to the decision to extend the agreement through 2032.
The company said that its global campaign for the Olympics, “Get Ready for the Best”, contributed to double-digit growth in consumer recognition. Allianz’s brand value was estimated at US$23.8 billion by Interbrand.
In 2024, Allianz's brand value reached US$23.5 billion, up from US$20.85 billion in 2023, marking an increase of approximately 12.7%. This growth propelled Allianz to the 29th position in Interbrand's Best Global Brands ranking, maintaining its status as the world's most valuable insurance brand for the sixth consecutive year.
Outside of the Olympics, the global insurer also entered a 10-year, £100 million agreement in rugby to rename Twickenham Stadium in London as Allianz Stadium.
