Allianz Commercial has promoted Sandra Lee to head of claims, Canada, effective immediately.
Lee succeeds Bernard McNulty, who continues in his role as chief agent for Allianz Commercial Canada.
Lee joined Allianz Commercial in August 2024 as director of long tail claims, where she managed the Canadian portfolio of corporate liability, excess and financial lines claims. She has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, having held various leadership roles before joining Allianz.
Prior to joining the company, Lee worked at AXA XL, where she served as head of claims from 2022 to 2024, overseeing the company’s Canadian claims operations. She previously spent 11 years at Economical Insurance where she led Casualty Claims.
Commenting on Lee’s appointment, McNulty, to whom she will be reporting to, commented: “She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role as Head of Claims, Canada, allowing for a smooth leadership transition that will benefit our customers and partners. I am confident that Sandra’s vision and leadership will help drive Allianz Commercial’s ambitious growth goals in Canada.”
Earlier this year, the company appointed Nancy Dorvil as regional head of property, North America, succeeding Jenise Klein. It also appointed Eric Wedin as regional head of financial lines, North America.
