Awards season is finally here, and Insurance Business Canada (IBC) is ready to celebrate the incredible talent in the industry after a turbulent and testing year.
Today, IBC has announced the finalists for the sixth annual Insurance Business Canada Awards (IBCAs). Take a look at who made the list here.
As a leading independent award program for the Canadian insurance community, IBC is honoured to recognize the top-performing brokers, brokerages, MGAs, underwriters, and risk managers at this year’s IBCAs.
Nominations were submitted across a host of award categories, such as the Cansure Award for Insurance Broker of the Year, the LowestRates.ca Award for CEO of the Year, the PAL Insurance Brokers Award for Young Achiever of the Year, and the Steamatic Canada Award for Woman of Distinction.
Some new award categories added to this year’s ceremony, include: Best Service Provider in Insurtech, Best Service Provider in Claims, and Leader of Change.
“It’s been a year like no other for all of us, and the insurance industry has been no exception,” said Paul Lucas, managing editor of Insurance Business. “The way the industry has found solutions for clients, helping businesses that may have been on the verge of losing everything, or assisting individuals during a period of incredible stress and strain, deserves to be celebrated and rewarded.
“That’s why we’re delighted to bring the industry together again for this year’s Insurance Business Canada Awards. While we wish the event could be held in person, anyone who attended last year will know how insightful our program is as we don’t just celebrate, but instead we bring everyone together for an interactive and educational experience, learning from the very best this industry has to offer.
“I personally can’t wait to see you all again, and to congratulate the winners – it’s going to be a fantastic event. Well done to everyone who has been nominated as a finalist: that in itself, is an incredible achievement given the extent of talent in this industry.”
Due to the pandemic, this year’s IBCAs celebratory awards show will be held virtually from November 17-18, 2021, with winners to also be profiled in Insurance Business magazine and online.
