Square One Insurance Services has partnered with Zurich Canada to provide personal auto insurance in Ontario, with more provinces to follow in 2024.
The based brokerage said this partnership combines its “digital-first” purchasing environment with Zurich Canada’s claims service expertise, allowing customers to easily personalize their limits, coverages, and deductibles online, as well as receive their policies in a few minutes.
In an emailed news release, CEO and president Daniel Mirkovic spoke about Square One's aim with its auto insurance offering.
“Since 2011, our team of professionals at Square One have made the home insurance process effortless for hundreds of thousands of Canadians,” Mirkovic said.
“Our priority is serving our customers, online and by phone, with care and building solid relationships to help achieve the best outcomes. We are excited to bring this same exceptional service to Canadian drivers.”
Zurich Canada CEO Saad Mered also remarked on their decision to partner with Square One, praising the brokerage for its “digital-first delivery and multi-channel customer service model.”
“As Zurich Canada continues to grow, our customers remain at the heart of everything we do, and we know that Square One is right there with us – teaming up to provide service that is personal, clear, simple, and effortless,” Mered said.
Square One’s personal auto insurance service is currently available in Ontario. It will expand to Quebec and Alberta in early 2024.
Earlier this year, Square One released a report highlighting a huge spike in summer bike thefts. According to the report, the number of thefts during the warmer months was up 429% compared to winter.
The report also identified some of the most common bike theft locations, with 43.4% of thefts from 2016 to 2022 happening in residential properties.
