Accident Support Services International Ltd. (ASSI) is partnering with a U.S. insurance group to bring its accident reporting service to that country's auto insurance market.

“The U.S. auto claims process has been gradually improved through the implementation of technology-enabled information management and workflow enhancements,” said Stephen Applebaum, managing partner of Insurance Solutions Group, “however the front-end of the process – from the moment of an accident through to carrier initiation of claim and related support services – continues to be highly inefficient, protracted and not particularly customer friendly.

“The ASSI accident reporting model resolves these issues with an innovative and highly effective solution and I am proud and excited to be working with ASSI to introduce their service to the U.S. market,” added Applebaum.

ASSI provides carriers with more comprehensive, virtually real-time accident notification, damage images and reports, this model relieves police forces of the prohibitively high cost of attending and reporting from accident scenes while still having access to accident data said Steve Sanderson, founder and president of ASSI Inc.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Stephen and Insurance Solutions Group,” said Sanderson. “We are confident that this relationship, combined with our expertise and proven service will bring tremendous value and benefit to the U.S. market.”

Sanderson added that ASSI's custom reporting software accelerates claim and first notice of loss reporting and provides carriers and law enforcement with powerful claims, underwriting and road safety analytics data.

ASSI has been operating in Canada for more than 22 years, partnering with local law enforcement in regards to vehicle accident reporting and insurance claims management.
