In cooperation with MADD Canada, Allstate Insurance Company of Canada is asking everyone to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day responsibly by arranging a designated driver.
“Figure out your sober ride home before raising that first St. Patrick’s Day pint,” MADD Canada national president Patricia Hynes-Coates said in a release. “It takes just a few moments of your time and it can prevent a lifetime of grief and heartache.”

“In our business, we see the impact and consequences of impaired driving all too often,”
Allstate Canada president and CEO Ryan Michel added. “Together with MADD Canada, we encourage Canadians to make the ride home a sober one. There are plenty of options available. Driving impaired is never worth the risk.”
A joint notice from both organizations suggests that, aside from arranging for a designated driver and leaving the car back home, celebrants who have had too much to drink can also call for an Uber or taxi driver, or take public transit.
