Toronto, Ontario – Sep 6, 2019 - Navacord Inc., a leading insurance and risk management brokerage announces the addition of three newly created senior executive positions as it continues their rapid Canadian growth journey.
Navacord’s expanded executive team will include Melanie Muise as Chief Operations Officer, Brandon Parent as General Counsel and Kristin Coulombe as national head of Human Resources. Roles will be effective September 23, 2019.

Melanie Muise is appointed Chief Operations Officer responsible for overseeing Navacord’s broker and client experience in addition to supporting the growth strategies of Navacord Broker Partners. Melanie’s 14 plus years in the P&C industry, in both direct and broker channel models across personal and commercial lines, coupled with her MBA from Edinburgh Business School, makes her an ideal candidate to drive this new initiative.
Brandon Parent is appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel with oversight over all corporate legal matters across the organization, including acquisitions. Brandon brings over 20 years of experience as an accomplished legal executive and business strategist with private and publicly traded companies. Brandon has broad legal expertise in addition to specialization in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, commercial contracting and procurement, corporate governance and litigation management.
Kristin Coulombe is appointed Senior Vice President, Human Resources responsible for developing a national industry-leading people agenda that will be executed by a regional team providing HR support, training and development to Broker Partners. Kristin is a leading HR Executive bringing 20 years of HR experience, in addition to intimate knowledge of the Navacord organization, having spent the past 7 years as HR leader of Navacord Ontario.
Reporting to the President and CEO, these appointments represent the importance of each of these areas to drive continued success across the growing number of Navacord Broker Partners.
