Insurance industry veteran Denise Gaeta joins LowestRates.ca

TORONTO—LowestRates.ca is excited to announce that Denise Gaeta has been appointed Head of Property and Casualty Insurance. Gaeta, a 17-year veteran of the Canadian insurance industry, was previously employed as the National President of iv3, and was nominated by iv3’s customers for the past three years as Vendor of the Year with IBC. “We are beyond thrilled to welcome Denise to the team,” said LowestRates.ca’s Co-Founder and CEO, Justin Thouin. “We admire her accomplishments and intense customer focus, and are ecstatic to welcome her as a key member of the team as we move to the next stage of the company’s growth.”

One of Gaeta’s main goals will be to grow LowestRates.ca’s partner network.  The company is well on its way to being the first place Canadians go when they have a financial decision to make, and in order to reach that ultimate goal LowestRates.ca needs to compare as many companies as possible on its site.  Gaeta brings with her decades of connections in the insurance industry, as well as an intimate knowledge of insurance companies and their needs. This will help LowestRates.ca work with both direct insurers and brokers to grow their new business with the lowest cost per sale possible.  Working with LowestRates.ca has proven to be the most cost effective way for some of Canada’s largest insurance companies to grow their customer base and Gaeta will work to make that happen with even more of the country’s leading players.

 “In my career I’ve been on the broker side, and the underwriting side, as well as having worked in loss control, risk management, and recruitment,” said Gaeta, who also boasts certification in CRM, and held a RIBO license when she practiced. “My customers know that my experience gives them an advantage, and they know that I’m a straight shooter who is highly accustomed to the fast-paced, ever-changing landscape of the Canadian insurance industry.”

Gaeta, who found the insurance industry to be male-dominated during the early years of her career, is pleased to have secured such a senior appointment within one of Canada’s fastest growing companies. “We need more women in executive positions within the industry,” said Gaeta, who appeared on a panel discussion at Insurance Business Canada’s Women in Insurance conference in May 2019.  “In my new position at LowestRates.ca, I will continue to make mentorship a priority, in order to create more opportunities for female leaders in the next generation of insurance professionals.”
