With over 20 years of executive experience in the insurance industry, Metcalfe has held international roles in Japan, the UK, and New Zealand.

Culture at CNA Canada

In 2018, CNA Canada marked a major milestone when the company celebrated its 100th anniversary. As part of the festivities, celebration events were organized in cities across the country as a way to show gratitude to brokers, staff and their communities.

In honour of that support, CNA entered into a partnership with Tree Canada, a charitable organization dedicated entirely to forestation and reforestation, whereby CNA is funding the planting of thousands of trees across the country. CNA team members are also volunteering with several other organizations, such as the Canadian Blood Services.

Outside of its anniversary celebrations, CNA Canada has strong support for community giving. Its employees give their time to non-profit organizations throughout the year, and express their commitment through volunteer activities, such as charity walks and other community service projects.

The company is also doing its share in environmental preservation. In March 2022, CNA Canada, along with 14 other insurance companies in the P&C space, has partnered with environmental non-profit Ducks Unlimited Canada to launch The Nature Force – a climate resilience initiative aimed at focusing insurers’ investments into natural infrastructure solutions to mitigate flood risk.
