In March 2021, Crawford & Company appointed Robert Holmes as Complex Casualty Leader in Canada in addition to his role as Senior General Adjuster. Holmes has over a decade of experience in the complex casualty field and remains focused on delivering quality claims handling on large and complex losses while driving revenue growth, broadening the company’s expertise, and delivering superior service to Canada’s complex casualty practice.

Holmes said mentorship has been crucial to reaching the next level. “Crawford has done an excellent job identifying young talent and pairing them with senior members in a formal mentorship capacity,” Holmes explained. “They’re one of the few places that has prioritized that and, specifically, formalized it, and it’s been very helpful for both the mentors and mentees to have access to one another.”

With the promotion, Holmes now leads a team of 27 adjusters handling losses in various specialty fields such as professional liability, environmental liability, and product recall. Now, Holmes acts as a mentor.
