Chukwuma Ejieh joined Gore Mutual Insurance in October 2018 as a senior data scientist responsible for machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to automate business processes. Before joining Gore Mutual, he worked in the tech industry where he focused on applying machine learning and analytics for customer-centric and product distribution initiatives within the financial services sector. 

Since joining Gore Mutual, his responsibilities have expanded and he now leads teams of data scientists and analysts. In this role, Chukwuma is responsible for the teams’ delivery of initiatives, from reporting and analytics to machine learning and AI, to enable the monitoring and tracking of business operations which provide Gore Mutual with insights to make the right business decisions.

In addition, he is responsible for setting the analytics strategy with the aim of enhancing Gore Mutual’s data capabilities with increased speed to insight, improved and more accurate data-driven decision making and promote more data democratization. His goal is to transform data into useful insight that is easy to access to help teams conduct business more efficiently.

Chukwuma is passionate about data and analytics and in his spare time, he likes to share his knowledge with others who share the same interest. He is also actively engaged in sports, particularly in volleyball, through his local YMCA.
