Liberty Mutual Reinsurance (LM Re) has announced the appointment of Dionne Chisolm (pictured above) as senior underwriting executive.
In her position, Chisolm is tasked with the development and management of a substantial portfolio in the assumed casualty treaty reinsurance sector. Her responsibilities encompass all facets of underwriting for both new and renewal business. Additionally, she will offer her expertise as a technical resource on various underwriting and reinsurance issues.
Chisolm's move to LM Re comes after her tenure at Swiss Re America, where she held the position of vice president and senior treaty underwriter, focusing on market underwriter and products underwriter roles.
Her career in the insurance and reinsurance industry spans over three decades, with a notable 20-year focus on treaty reinsurance underwriting. During this period, she was responsible for generating, overseeing, and sustaining a diverse portfolio of property and casualty business.
Effective immediately, Chisolm will be operating out of the Stamford, Conn., office under the supervision of Susan Burke, the standard casualty treaty manager for the US.
“We are very pleased to welcome Dionne to Liberty. Her extensive experience, high level insurance expertise and strong technical underwriting background will be a great asset to us, our clients, and our brokers,” Burke said.
