Sompo Insurance Singapore has appointed Pui Phusangmook (pictured) as CEO, effective June 01.
Phusangmook joins Sompo from NTUC Income, where he was, most recently, executive vice president and general manager, general insurance and group business. Prior to joining Income, he was chief operating officer of AXA Singapore.
“Pui has significant experience in managing a successful business in Singapore. We are delighted that Sompo is able to attract a talent of his calibre,” said Daniel Neo, regional CEO of Sompo Holdings Asia. “With the recent appointments in the region, including Singapore, Sompo continues to strengthen our core management team across the region.”
Phusangmook has been working in Singapore since 2001. He has more than 25 years of working experience in the financial services sector, with the last 18 years spent in the insurance sector.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from King Mongkut Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand and an MBA from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, USA.
