As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to sweep across the globe, Shenton Brokers has set up a helpline and chatbot to assist people who may have insurance-related queries in Singapore.
The helpline will be active Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6pm, and the chatbot, which can be accessed through Shenton’s website, will be available 24/7.
Members of the public can contact the brokerage if they have queries on their general insurance policies. This service is available to everyone free of charge, irrespective of whether the policy has been purchased on Shenton Brokers, the company said in a statement. According to Shenton, the helpline is staffed by an experienced team that includes qualified insurance professionals, who can provide users with up-to-date information and advice on insurance coverage.
“In times of global crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic, it is imperative that we stand united and help each other out for the greater good of our community,” said Vivien Chua, chief technology officer of Shenton Brokers. “More than anything, this crisis highlights the importance of having insurance cover that protects us against death, illness and disability. The last thing you want to worry about is the cost of a medical treatment, and if you are able to manage your finances in the event of an unforeseen circumstance.”
